How To Read This Map

The main station layers show annual anomalies against a fixed 1926-1935 monthly climatology. The gold hUSCRN Q0 layer uses pair-specific stitched baselines and draws the legacy and USCRN segments separately.

The main map layers contain 647 continuity-screened GHCN-M QCU stations, split into equal-count built-up bins from local 5 km GHSL fractions. The gold hUSCRN Q0 layer adds 8 historical legacy/USCRN pairs as 16 dots, with one marker for the older site and one for the newer USCRN site.
